Remove cluster aware updating
You can also run Generate Report On Past Updating Runs from a specific time window, with the added option of exporting the report in HTML format.By default WS2012 Hyper-V uses Quick Migration on virtual machines with a low cluster priority. That's ok for now, and I will try to keep google'ing a way to resolve it.However now I'm getting a ton of event logs constantly against my clusters, and from an administrator standpoint, that doesn't look too good. When I started evangelizing Windows Server 2012 for Microsoft, there was a long list of features that I was always happy to point to.There are a few of them that I have never really gone into detail on, that I am currently working with. Cluster Aware Updates (CAU) is a feature that does exactly what it says – it helps us to update the nodes in a Failover Cluster without having to manually take them down, put them into maintenance mode, or whatever else. The recommended managed solution will be to use WSUS.If you are downloading updates through a proxy (such as directly from Microsoft) then you will need to configure Win HTTP proxy settings on each cluster node.
I'm beginning to think there's a GPO out there interfering but the maze of content in there is going to take some digging through. You can change this default behaviour so that low priority VMs are moved using live migration, just like medium- and high-priority VMs.WS2012 R2 Hyper-V uses live migration by default for VMs of all priorities. The Event ID's I'm recieving are: 1069 1193 1194 1205 1254Anyone know a way to halt these error events from happening?I haven't tried to run the CAU setup in days but I'm still getting these every hour on the hour. :)I've had my share of headaches setting up CAU. If so, if you give the Cluster computer object and both Node computer objects full control permissions to the object, that should resolve most issues.
